- Birth data — date of birth, time of birth, and birth location for each person included in your book
- Email address — used to deliver your book and send order updates
- Relationship context (optional) — names and relationship labels for couples and family books
- Shipping address — only collected for print orders, captured during Stripe checkout
Information collected automatically
We do not use cookies for tracking or advertising. We may collect basic server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) for security and operational purposes.
2. How We Use Your Information
- Chart calculation — birth data is used to compute natal charts and synastry relationships using astronomical ephemeris data
- Book generation — chart data and relationship context are sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) to generate personalized book chapters
- Delivery — your email address is used to send download links and order status updates via Resend
- Print fulfillment — shipping addresses for print orders are shared with our print partner (Lulu) to manufacture and ship your book
- Payment processing — payment details are handled entirely by Stripe; we never see or store your card information
3. Data Security and Retention
- Birth data is encrypted with AES-256 at rest
- All connections use HTTPS encryption in transit
- Birth data is automatically deleted within 48 hours of book generation
- Generated book PDFs are retained for 30 days to allow downloads, then deleted
- Order records (email, order status, product type) are retained indefinitely for customer support and accounting purposes
- Payment records are maintained by Stripe under their own data retention policies
4. Third-Party Services
We share data with the following service providers, only to the extent necessary to operate the Service:
- Stripe — payment processing (PCI-compliant; we have zero PCI scope)
- Anthropic — AI content generation (chart data is sent to generate book chapters)
- Resend — transactional email delivery
- Lulu — print-on-demand book manufacturing and shipping (print orders only)
- Supabase — database hosting and file storage
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
5. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Birth data for minors may be submitted by a parent or guardian for inclusion in family books, but the purchaser must be at least 18 years old.
6. Your Rights
You may request:
- Access — a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Deletion — immediate deletion of your order data and any associated birth data or generated files
- Correction — updates to inaccurate personal information
